The origin of this codicological unit is unclear, and no specific location is indicated in Pellegrin and Bouhot 2010: 499. Deuffic included it in his PMSB 306 (§64), but with no details as to its possible origin. A Breton origin was proposed by Van der Straeten (1982: 20, 74; cf. also Merdrignac and Carré 1991: 13–14), mostly on the basis of the manuscript's contents, but a possible Fleury origin is suggested in Carey 1923: 53 and CMD VII, 571 ('Ce recueil assez disparate, en mauvais état, provient de Saint-Benoît-sur-Loire (Loiret), où ses divers fragments ont peut-être été copiés'). The dating is likewise controversial (cf. Poulin 2009: 121–2). A fresh palaeographical assessment is necessary.
