|Connection with Brittany|
Bischoff (1989: 120) tentatively proposed a Breton origin for this codicological unit, presumably on the basis of its script. However, I am not aware of any other reason to ascribe this MS to Brittany; thus, Bischoff's suggestion remains to be tested. A further copy of the anonymous tract De decem preceptis et decem plagis, occurring at fols 52v–53v, can be found at fols 85v–86v of Rome (Città del Vaticano), BAV, Reg.lat.338, a MS whose origin is unclear (possibly Northern France or Germany), although we do know that it had reached England by the early eleventh century.
