This MS was probably the exemplar of Rome, BAV, Reg.lat.691, which was written at Angers. It seems virtually certain that Vat.lat.1974 too was written at Angers, by two scribes (cf. Vezin 1974: 99, 237) who copied both the text of Orosius and the glosses from a Breton exemplar. Some of the glosses in this MS occur also in other Breton copies of Orosius's Historiae, especially Rome (Città del Vaticano), BAV, Reg.lat.296 and Venice, Bibl. Marciana, MS Zanetti Lat. 349.
