Notes |
Bischoff's geographical ascription of this MS (Fischer's 'Bu') reads as follows: 'Wahrscheinlich bretonisches Randgebiet' (Kat. §2838; cf. also OHLP 257, where Ganz lists this MS in his series of Breton Gospel-books). The decoration certainly shows a remarkable degree of insular influence (cf. e.g. the large initial Li on fol. 32v), and Lemoine has drawn attention to a number of occurrences of the insular g letter-form (Lemoine 2008: 187). However, the question of this manuscript's origin would need a fresh reassessment. |
