Notes |
Bischoff (Kat. §3709) attributed this MS to Brittany, apparently on the basis of its script, its abbreviations, and its single Old Breton gloss at p. 101 (bodou, 'bird of prey', glossing Lat. ardea; the same Old Breton word is used to gloss Lat. alies in Orléans, Médiathèque, MS 182; cf. Bisagni 2018: 136). This attribution (which is adopted in Pellegrin and Bouhot 2010: 198) seems likely, although it remains to be fully demonstrated. In particular, one wonders whether we can entirely rule out that this MS was written by a Breton scribe working at Fleury (cf. LF BF594). |
