Connection with Brittany
Notes

The date indicated here is taken from LF BF180 (cf. also Bischoff, Kat. §590, indicating s. IX / X). In relation to the origin of this MS, Bischoff states (Kat. §590): 'Westfrankreich (wahrscheinlich bretonischer Einfluß).' Bischoff's comment seems to be the only (tenuous) link between Brittany and this codex, which in fact may have been written anywhere in Western Francia, possibly in a monastery of the Loire Valley such as Fleury, Micy or Auxerre.
