Notes |
This MS, known as 'Bible of Redon', is now divided into two volumes. This is an imposing illuminated Bible, probably written at either Redon or, more likely, Mont-Saint-Michel (for the close links between these two centres during the tenth and eleventh century, see ILLB V206, p. 167). Two papal bulls (dating respectively from AD 1147 and AD 1073–85) and a charter, all concerning Redon, occur at fols 249v and 259v. |
