Notes |
The English provenance of this Gospel-book is indicated by the addition of several Old English glosses, dating probably from the tenth century (Ker 1957: 353). According to Bischoff, a Breton origin is likely (Kat. §3770; cf. also Pächt and Alexander 1966–73: I, §424; Ganz in OHLP 257). However, pending a detailed palaeographical and textual analysis, this attribution remains to be confirmed. |
