Notes

The attribution of this MS to Brittany, accepted by Bischoff in Kat. §3814, is mostly based on the iconography, which is very similar to that of other Gospel-books of probable or certain Breton origin whose illuminators followed models originating from Tours, such as Alençon, BM, MS 84, Baltimore, Walters Art Museum, MS W.1, and Rome (Città del Vaticano), BAV, MS Archivio San Pietro D 154 (cf. EBGB 22).
