Lindsay (1915) tentatively attributed this MS to Brittany on the basis of its numerous insular abbreviations. However, Bischoff (Kat. §4815) suggested a completely different attribution: in his view, this MS was written somewhere near Burgundy ('Wohl aus einem Randgebiet Burgunds'). Indeed, there do not seem to be convincing elements in favour of a Breton origin. |
