Origin Locations

This map includes all the manuscripts for which we could specify at least one possible / probable / certain location of origin (as opposed to more generic regions). Notice the particularly prominent role played by the monastic scriptoria of Landévennec, Redon, and Fleury.

The map displays 103 manuscripts for which location data is available; some manuscripts may be associated with more than one possible origin location. There are a total of 225 manuscripts in the catalogue. Click the markers for additional information.
